Secret email about the Post Office Scandal. Shh!

Tomorrow’s hearing at the Court of Appeal

Looking for Directions

Hello

Tomorrow there will be a directions hearing at the Court of Appeal where we might start to find out a bit more about when the first Subpostmaster convictions might be quashed.

As your loyal scribe I will be going along – partly to live-tweet proceedings, partly to try to get my hands on some of the documentation involved in the appeal cases. A lot of it remains confidential until it is put before the court, but unless there is a reporter in court to ask for it, it might never get released.

I have therefore made an application to the court to consider my request for the CCRC’s statement of reasons, the appellants’ grounds of appeal and supplementaries, the Post Office’s responses, any evidence which sounds interesting and transcripts of all hearings going forward.

If you want a blow-by-blow account tomorrow, click here any time from 10.30am onwards. I’ll write up the hearing on the postofficetrial.com website at the end of the day, and probably write you another secret email to alert you to it.

Thanks for your continuing support.

Nick
