Secret email about the Post Office Scandal. Shh!

The Long Summer of Admin continues

Evening secret emailers,

As you know www.postofficetrial.com now has an up to date Horizon trial menu to complement the Common Issues trial menu.

As of today I have added:

a) a “Court of Appeal menu” to document the Post Office’s adventures there.

b) a “What’s this all about?” page, which explains the entire story in as few words as possible. If anyone ever asks you “what’s this all about, then?” (as people do me, regularly), send this link to them. Or memorise it.

c) a “Start here” page which tells the story of the litigation and the wider developments and implications by category, again in as few words as possible.

I think that leaves us pretty much up to date. If you spot any errors in the above links or want to take issue with the way I’ve summed up the story or categorised it – just hit reply.

I will now start going back through my backlog of correspondence to look at possible articles I need to write – there are a couple of personal stories at the top of my list which I really need to turn my attention to.

Finally, look out for a piece on Computer Weekly next week. It is my first commission, granted solely because the great Karl Flinders has the temerity to be on holiday. The piece addresses the horrible “slow-running” bug which has been affecting the Post Office network since June. My thanks to the Subpostmasters who agreed to be interviewed for the piece.

Yours

Nick
