All eyes on Southwark Crown Court
A very quick note to say I am at Southwark Crown Court for a “mention” hearing of six Subpostmasters whose cases were referred by the Criminal Cases Review Commission.
These cases are being heard at a crown court because all six Subpostmasters were convicted at Magistrates Courts.
When news of the hearing came through, no one was really expecting any convictions to be quashed today. But the Post Office is not opposing any of them so the feeling is it could be a very simple matter for the judges.
I’ll be in court. Follow what’s happening on twitter from 10.15am.
It could be a historic day in the Subpostmasters’ campaign for justice.
Thanks
Nick
