Hi all!
Here’s my write-up of what happened in court today.
Basically:
The Post Office lost their attempt to win permission to appeal the Common Issues judgment.
They lost their attempt to have the Common Issues costs payment to the claimants reserved (held back) until the end of the litigation.
They lost their attempt to only have to pay 70% of the claimants costs for the Common Issues and ended up paying 90%
They lost their attempt to appeal the costs order,
and they appear to have lost control of their expert witness.
The judge revealed the Post Office has now spent at least £18.3m on this litigation and we’re only one-and-a-half trials in.
I’ll try to get the source documents up tomorrow.
Cheers
Nick
