Hello secret emailers!
I’ve gone through the Common Issues judgment again and written up a Common Issues Cheat Sheet.
Now instead of having to trawl through a 180,000 words to remember what the judge said about the Post Office, its witnesses and the Common Issues, you can find them all on the end of one handy link.
As a special bonus, I have put a backgrounder at the bottom of the cheat sheet.
So if anyone comes up to you and says – “what’s this Post Office thing all about then?” – which many people still do say to me, you can send them this link which has all the juicy quotes, findings and background information in one place. Good idea, huh?
Now the bad news
The bad news is I am not around next week so I won’t be in court to tweet the recusal judgment. If anyone is going to be in court and fancies tweeting from it, I’d be happy to point people in your direction in advance.
At the moment it’s going to happen at Court 26 of the Rolls Building on Tue 9 April at 2pm, but we won’t get that confirmed until Monday 8 April. And given how the last judgment slipped by 6 weeks, this one may slip by a couple of days quite easily.
There won’t be a huge amount to tweet – four of five will probably do it.
The judgment will be a written one but I suspect the judge will read out the key points of the decision as he will have to make some further observations to the court in the light of his decision (ie what the process is if he decides to recuse himself and what the process is if he doesn’t).
I’ll get the judgment posted up in the evening of the day it is handed down.
Although I won’t have much access to a computer for the next few days I will be checking in and out.
Keep me posted with any developments you get wind of and I’ll try to do the same!
Best
Nick
