It was meant to be the Monday after the weekend before, but we’ve tiptoed past midnight again…
Anyway. Hello secret emailers.
A very short note to let you know about the latest blog post which went up just before midnight. It contains the strongest acknowledgment yet that the Post Office intends to seek permission to appeal the Common Issues judgment. It also notes the Post Office’s internal reaction to the Court of Appeal’s dismissal of its attempt to get Sir Peter Fraser kicked off the litigation. Read it here.
I’m very very grateful to you for all the correspondence you have been sending and forwarding me (including the kind souls who sent me the internal Post Office communication which prompted the above blog post). Please keep it coming. I can only write stuff if I get the info. Sending me things is as simple as hitting reply to this email, so please keep doing it.
Right now I am getting all sorts of bits and bobs which should allow me to start gearing up the blog with some useful nuggets towards the re-start of the Horizon trial on 4 June. I’ve cancelled a few work commitments to be at your service during those two weeks so I hope it does all go ahead, if only from a diary perspective.
Before the trial re-starts of course, there is the issue of costs and a discussion about permission to appeal the Common Issues judgment which will presumably take most of the day on Thu 23 May. More on that anon…
Adieu
Nick
