Horizon trial: no more coconuts
Bon soir secret emailers
So that’s the Horizon (second) trial done and dusted. The biggest headline of the day is that the third trial has been shifted to 2 March 2020 because both parties agree there isn’t enough time between now and November to prepare for it.
Read through the implications in my report of the final day of the Horizon trial.
Read the specifics of what was actually said over the course of the Post Office QC’s summing up by having a look at the transcript.
Get to grips with the Post Office’s argument against the claimants by reading all 545 pages of their closing submission.
Get in an impressionistic real-time indication of what I thought may or may not be going on in court with a beautifully-formatted webpage of all my live tweets.
The Post Office have indicated they’ve now spent £13.9m on this litigation. We are nowhere near a conclusion.
Thanks for all your comments, kind words, criticism and help during this trial. I will continue to maintain the blog and send regular secret emails.
Please keep the information flowing back towards me. I am now just as interested in the state of the existing Post Office network and the way it is run.
Thanks again.
