39 convictions go through to appeal
Morning all
A brief heads up on the news – 39 Post Office cases sitting with the Criminal Cases Review Commission have now been referred to the court of appeal.
This is a historic day – as the chair of the CCRC says:
“This is by some distance the largest number of cases we will ever have referred for appeal at one time.”
Lucy Allan MP said “This is fantastic news… the Post Office had extraordinarily claimed ‘few if any,’ would be referred. Getting closer to justice thanks to so many brilliant campaigners.”
I’ve written it up here.
You can also read what Karl Flinders at Computer Weekly has to say about it here.
Best regards
